strategies for our clients.
-

|
 |
- Stormwater and Wastewater Permitting
- Evaluation and development of Best Management
Practices (BMPs) for inclusion in Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans
required as part of the Stormwater Permit for our clients. Successfully
negotiated less stringent permits for our clients who have implemented
recommendations to prevent stormwater contamination. Obtained
categorical wastewater discharge permits for chemical manufacturers,
electro-platers and foundries.
-
|
 |
- Floodplain Permitting
- Our geologists and engineers have successfully
obtained floodplain permits for our clients to construct new facilities
that are located in designated floodplains, including one facility that
is used as a cement distribution terminal. Also obtained similar permits
for remedial activities involving the removal of contaminated soils from
a hazardous waste landfill that was located in a floodplain which
required remedial actions.
-
|
 |
- Contingency Planning
- Successfully incorporated RCRA contingency plans,
OSHA Emergency Action Plans, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans and
DOT HazMat Security Plans into a single document as allowed under the
Integrated Contingency Plan (ICP) guidelines for a number of our
clients.
-
|
 |
- Compliance Audits
- Our team of professional consultants conduct a large
number of environmental audits to determine our client's compliance
status with the complete spectrum of applicable regulations. From simple
summary assessments to complex audit reports, we have evaluated in
excess of 100 facilities, many of which were performed as part of a
pre-acquisition due diligence investigation.
-

|
 |
- Plant Closures and Decommissioning
- ChemReport has managed the complete closure, decommissioning and
cleanup of numerous facilities, some in excess of 1,000,000 square feet
of floor space spread across 40 acres. Activities included sampling;
waste disposal; cleaning of confined spaces;
wastewater plant decommissioning; permit cancellations and/or transfers;
tank and PCB transformer removals and the burning off of residual
propane left in storage tanks that was too old to be recycled. All of
our activities are documented in a Plant Closure Report.
-
|
 |
- ISO 14001
- Conducted gap analysis of our client's existing
environmental programs with those that are required by regulation and
the ISO 14001 Standard. Developed the necessary policies and procedures
needed to ensure that our clients can self-certify themselves as being
ISO 14001 qualified or for 3rd party certification.
-
|
 |
- TSCA Compliance
- Assisted numerous clients with the removal of PCB
transformers (up to 50,000 lb units) and capacitors. Removed and tested
over 1,200 PCB capacitors from an industrial facility and tested the
area to determine if contamination existed. We assist clients with PCB
Transformer identification and EPA registration. Additionally, we also prepare
Pre-Manufacture Notices (PMNs) and FIFRA applications as a specialty
service.

|
 |
- Hazardous Waste Disposal
- From Lab-Packs to routine waste disposal, we provide
cost competitive disposal and recycling activities for all types of
wastes. We have established brokering accounts with the nation's largest
TSDFs that enables us to save you money by having us manage your waste.
These brokering accounts are typically less than what you would pay for
the same waste because we can offer the TSDF much larger volumes.

 |
- Safety Manual Development
- ChemReport can develop a complete safety manual for your facility
for a fraction of the time and cost it would take to complete in-house.
After performing an informal audit of your facility, we then sit down
with you and obtain pertinent information needed to write the safety
policies. We have completed comprehensive safety manuals for industrial
facilities, school districts and entire counties.
-

|
 |
- Chemical Hygiene Plans
- We have developed comprehensive Chemical Hygiene Plans for
businesses, municipalities and school districts. Some with as many as
185 different locations. One recent school project required us to inventory all
existing products and chemicals at 185 different locations. We then assisted the CHP
Committee in determining which chemicals and products were no longer needed and
developed an Authorized Use List (AUL). Following the disposal of the
unwanted chemicals, we developed a customized MSDS database that could
be accessed on the school's Intranet. We then provided training of all
the employees via a custom Internet training application.
-

|

- Industrial Hygiene Monitoring
- From noise exposure testing and particulate exposures
to evaluating exposures to organics and metals, we can fulfill all of
your industrial hygiene monitoring requirements. We recently concluded
mercury exposure testing at a nationally known waste treatment facility
that was used as basis for promulgating regulations that affected the
mercury recycling industry.
-

|
 |
- Specialty Programs
- If it involves safety, we can do it. One recent project involved the
development of specific lockout procedures for all of the equipment
located in each of 36 different facilities. We then entered the
procedures into a database. The database was merged with the facility's
maintenance management software so that LOTO procedures are now
automatically printed out on all service and work orders generated by
the maintenance program.
